wed:- it was spitting snow for most of wed day.. they picked up about 3 of super wet and heavy during the day on top of about 3 from the previous 24.... it blended in to what ended up being a mix of frozen gran and powder by the end of the day.... we spent about an hour side slipping one line on lower rum... high of about 35 and partly sunny .... but then... 4pm came and it rain like heck for 3 hours before changing back to snow
.... the rumor was cannon got all snow , but i'd like to have that confirmed by a no buller
thurs- amazing how a few minutes , never mid hours, of rain can wipe things out... an amazing crust of about 2 inches in thickness was on anything ungroomed... where as the day befroe took us about an hour to get a line on the bumps on lower rum, thurs took us about 2 with the help of the monster rake and shovel from some super cool lifties
....and all that for 1 line  ... sounds a little silly right?... your right, except for the fact that every thing else was a frozen sheet of boilerplate and anything else that was not dragged was simply out of the question.. so what else were were to do  .... putting on tight suits and making g.s turns is not an option  it was blue bird though and about 25 for a high so it was pleasant in that sense... we were bumpin by 11 but man , it was pure rock hard east coast bumpin...
fri....they got about 2 more overnight but it was not enough to fix anything really.. same general surface conditions with absolute brutal slick in the high traffic areas by 11 am...we abandoned the bumps on rum after lunch as we were not skiing them well from the day before and really rutted them out... it was not warm enough nor were there enough people willing to venture in side slip aside from the occasional dope who would make 2 or 3 turns and fall on his ass, to fix on fri so it was back to a million turns on the flat hardpack  ... got up to about 20f with some wind, the most of the three days by far....
overview....they will need a good 12 to 18 to fix what the rain did to them on wed into thurs.... good news is the base is rock hard for sure... bad news is the base is still paltry, and any of the fresh snow from last week is now history... the moguls on lower flume are such a mess we are gonna beg the gm to take em down and reset.. they took down the pipe and recut it after the snow last week so it is mint... the hits in the park are up to size but rock hard on the landing zones for sure... mini pipe and easy on rails and boxes under the west q are worth a look if you are looking to learn to rail.... 2 nice mini booters on bear bypass to practice probably a 360 or switch 180 , but beware of landings again... no one skied them after the powder dump last week and the rain has made them just about unskiable.. any trees were out of the question as of late friday.... for some reason they had double dip and triple troub closed off and ungroomed on friday.... why they don't just grrom out double dip i do not know....the bumps on it are alway awful and it just a waste of trail space ....will try and get an answer... would think the overall surface is gonna be brutal boilerplate for sat and sun , but hopefully they will get bailed out on monday for the upcoming madness that is coming to town    .. back in about 10 days after the circus leaves town
