hit loon for 2 after the 4 week layoff... not bad at all...quite cold on both days.. about 10 to start and up to mid 20's.. windy on friday made it colder than thurs... snow qual is frowder.. not quite gran but not true pp... edgeable on 80% of the groomers except the usual high traffic areas... loon is really doing a nice job with the bumps and park this year.. mogul line under hs q ( lines not bad at all ), mogul patch under gondy... moguls on bear bypass, bumps under double and skiers right of double and a large bump field of the top of the triple on sunset are all skiable...rock hard deep in the troughs, but ski em correctly and be on your toes and u r fine... bumps on the top of angel st are junk ( reminded me of cannon's ) the park is in killer shape with some great learning booters and rails to slide with nice small ramped in runs...pipe is in killer shape... the crowded blue groomers are very scratchy by 1:00pm...loons 4 basic tree areas, 2 on bottom and 2 on top are in good shape... fast and not a lot of powder but still fun... hit every one of them once.. did not drop into mike's way off the gondy, though... burned turns in the trees and on the flats all over the mountain each morning and set up on the hs q bump run for the afternoons. crowds were good on thurs and much worse on friday. back next tuesday probably from loon and maybe cat on wed.. fyi.. k-mart's spring pass for $199 is on sale.. good at all a.s.c areas .. including the river... hopefully , an epic spring to be had at k and the superstar
