Grab the musket, powder, shot, bayonet and report to Lexington Green! It was time to rumble! We moved gear to the lifts and carried it up The Single - it's tough work but we love it! Electricity was everywhere! Beaver was outstanding! - I'll bet Ward Cleaver never had so much fun with the Beaver! Panther - my favorite - ROCKED and I found some thigh deep 8) . Reveg work there has taken hold and it looks like my favorite will get even better - ski area "improvements" the way they oughtta' be!!! Change is good. :D

With an almost full moon, fantastic views of the Presidentials and into southern Coos County, sweep was especially nice. It was also especially nice that I got to sweep Panther and was good to work at diligently checking the woods and patrolling as I descended. It was the best day we had since December 2005.

For today, I thought for sure we would not be open, but I checked in anyway. Nope, we would be opening for the day - Main Mountain. Fortunately, the dire forecast of rain did not materialize and the freezing rain left a glazed finish on the snowpack. No thaw - phew! Trail check down Cat Bowl was brutal - "ummm, interesting skiing here and increased traffic will improve things" was my report. Did many chores and as the day wore on, skier traffic broke up much crust and snow softened under a bit of warmth. Cat Bowl was nice at the end of the day and Quacky Headwall became very nice <JOEGM> WITH A VERY GOOD BUMP LINE WHICH WAS A GOOD PLACE TO HONE SKI SKILLS AND TRAILS LIKE THIS ARE WHAT IS NEEDED </JOEGM>. I was pretty toasted at the end of the day - never did get a chance to recover from the prior Thursday night ironfest.
