Headed up The Single and I was able to have my choice of trails. So, I got 2nd tracks down Cat Bowl in the half foot or so of new snow. Fortunately, the Main Mountain was closed on Friday to let it dry out. Sweet. Found some tough slabby stuff on upper Liftline/Upper Glade and went for an off-piste shot which proved to be very nice except for a deep brook that I did not know ever existed at the end of it which required tricky negotiation. Ooops, I had also forgotten that the woods were off-limits. Oh well. Next run, I got my best turns of the year below the Tower 10 Ledges which was also the 2nd set of tracks. Panther, Gazelle also had many treats to be had. Duck in the Cool Green World of Birdland 8) was ungroomed ? nice for someone like me who likes the ungroomed, a bummer for a novice, but a great opportunity for a novice wanting to get a taste of the ungroomed. It was truly a nice powder day.

For Sunday, a nice packed powder day was had! I skied hard all day long. Paradise between just below the waterfall and the cutover to Fall Line was especially nice with soft round bumps. My 2:30 stint in The Cool Green World of Birdland 8) was welcome as it gave me a chance to kick back and work on some nice turns. I razzed an employee for snitching an off-piste line right next to an on-piste trail ?..of course, I was really sniffing for beta on the conditions, there.

For today, the snow was getting a bit worn, but good skiing was still to be had. After closing Ferret for the day, I performed sweep down Partridge/Slalom Hill. My skiing was ragged on this as I was probably getting physically burnt out. Snow was falling and accumulating which made turns down Robin very pleasant.

Sounds like a good time at MRG. Some talk about more snow next weekend.

I may be up there next week, hoping for more snow!

Thanks Mark.

I will be there next Tuesday for Roll Back the Clock day, is anyone else here going to be there?
