good but not as great as the web site would have you believe....it averaged minus 4 or so throughout the day... the single started late and was stalled a few times... not a big deal as it was warmer off the double anyway... the dryness of the snow is what made it not as good as our last on dec 17th...the bumps have obviously harded up quite a bit with whatever non frozen precip they got before the holiday and the holiday traffic cut up/scraped some of the lines pretty good... but still it was not bad at all... just not epic soft bumps...plenty wind loaded in the trees but as it was on the 17th, the best mogul lines were quacky ( they groomed out some of it  :? ) to g canyon and upper canyon off the double and the lynx beaver combo off the single...we are gonna roll the dice and try stowe on friday... could be an expensive mistake if it is not much better than mrg , but after much debate, we're gonna gamble on the chin clip and the goat and the 80 dollar ticket..

I always enjoy the bumps in the Quacky area. Definitely one of my favorite bump locations on the mountain.

just not epic soft bumps

apparently you most enjoy skiing moguls. soft epic bumps you won't find until it gets warm. I suspect you'll find hard bumps at Stowe as well. You should get back next week when temps are near 50 and you'll be in soft bump heaven.

Get off-piste and enjoy the trees while they are so fantastic.

Skiing deep powder is not unlike skiing bumps...only less abusive on the body. The technique is not that different.

Hey, you were on the same day as us. However like Powderfreak, we were deep in the woods for a good part of the day.

I love Stowe, but that $80 at Stowe versus $35 at MRG is a huge difference (midweek). Anyway, have fun at Stowe.
