if you weren't skiing today, you missed out. bright blue cloudless skies all day with temps soaring into the mid to upper 40s found people delayering at magic. spring has arrived!

however, the snow didn't soften up much till the end of the day, and only in select places. after last week's romp, i wanted to hit my favorites from last week first starting off with twilight zone which was hard pack scraped nastiess. then on to slide of hans which is quickly becoming one of my favorite trails. some scratch, but pretty good overall. repeated slide three times, each got better and better.

sorcerer was a sheet of ice, while wizard had corn snow most of the day (in places). witch skier's right was nice too. bumps in the sun didn't soften up as much as hoped for... but lucifer and master magician were slightly better than last week. skied red line for the first time ever... i managed well and actually made some quality turns! not as bad as it looked, although the steepest part is pretty scraped up. but who cares!!?!?

groomers started to get soft and spring like toward the end of the day. not full on spring skiing, but just a taste of what's to come.

airial competition was kinda a dud, with mostly a few young, slightly timid yet fearless lads going mostly for distance and not many tricks. although the highlight was an unregistered local buzzing the hit outta no where, doing a twister, and offering up a full yard sale to on lookers.

post lifts closing, hit the deck outside the lodge to witness a pretty happening apres ski sceen with an awesome band firing it up, dogs pumping around, drinks flowing, and lots of merriment. damn, i love spring skiing!
