After yo-yoing on the Peabody Quad with only two routes down, we had to escape to get a little grass skiing in on the lower Mittersill slopes Sunday. Cover was mighty thin last weekend at Cannon, unless you were on the man-made base. Only about 3"-5" on the lower Mittersill slopes, but we had First Tracks, and isn't that what this site is all about?

Awsome! I'll be there tomorrow for a powder day! I am planning on skinning to the top and hitting Up & Mid - Ravine or even a run down Barons. Report to follow.

i think it would still be mandatory base damage if skied from the top.

I agree... definitely core shot material... probably will have to wait for at least 3 more weeks

Might have been nice on Tuesday as Cannon received an honest 7 inches of new snow, and not all that much rain, the day before. But I didn't have the chance to ski it and Franconia saw all kinds of rain today and this evening.

It better snow tonight, I'll be at cannon rain or snow... tomorrow (12/30)

Hope you get a decent day. I'm about 6 miles from Cannon. It's not raining like it was an hour ago. But I can hear snow melt dripping from the roof fast and furious. Not sure what the forecast is saying now.
