We went skiing in Ste-Anne on Sunday. Though 6 trails were advertized, it was really just two, the Paradeuse with artificial snow, and the Féréolaise on natural, with 4 trails leading into it. Conditions were very good in the morning, though traffic was heavy in Paradeuse.
As one could guess, the 20 cm layer of snow got pretty tired at the merge of all the trails into the Ferréolaise, leaving only a mix of grass, dirt and snow by midday, forcing Patrol to close it.
All was left was an overcrowded Paradeuse. A bump line formed on the side with all the nice snow from the morning, and it was quite pleasant.
We quickly discovered, though, that the Échapée T-Bar line was much more fun, with the groomed natural snow. Avoiding patrol was tough, however, as they are quite severe in that part of the province.
We left at 2:30, tired and (relatively) happy.
