Today I drove to Mt. High to refresh my age 70 pass. Similar to the last two years, I hung around and skied the 2 WRODs that were open.
Chisholm:
Wyatt:
Borderline is the park but features are currently modest with limited snow.
Here's the natural coverage on Headwall, the site of Liz' broken shoulder in 2020:
That snow is nearly 4 weeks old, so I took a pass.
I skied 15,700 vertical, 8 runs each on Chisholm and Borderline/Wyatt. I got there at 9:15 and it was very quiet until 11AM. Early morning snow was hardpack but not frozen granular: you could hold an edge and even carve it some by 10AM. Loading/unloading areas and a few busy spots got clumpy/slushy by the time I quite at 11:45. After 11AM there was more skier density but not enough to be of much concern.
