Woooohooooooo !!!!!!

Val Saint-Côme

La Réserve

That's not a lot, but it was heavy snowfalling. There was ½ inch on the cold surfaces, after 20 minutes, at Val Saint-Côme.

The snow passed at La Réserve (1 inch on the cold surfaces) before VSC, but when we left, there was a visible snow cell just over Mt Garceau and it was looking pretty heavy too. Some other cells probably hit the mountains since that time

Of course, most of the snow melted at la Réserve before we arrived there, except in the woods... and.... of course..... a little bit on

MORE ON THE WAY !!!!!
THINK SNOW !!!!!

I forgot to say something pretty weird of yesterday.

I measured the vertical of Val Saint-Côme and la Réserve often, this summer, as I went several times since august. It was always at 264 meters for Val Saint-Côme and 249 for La Réserve. Yesterday, I got 273 for Val Saint-Côme and 262 meters for la Réserve.

I rush to believe this, as it was always 264/249. I wonder if it could be the temperature that can change the vertical, as it was coldy yesterday (in the 30s). A sure thing, next time, I buy a GPS instead of an altimeter !!!!

So I really wonder what is their true vertical... may be at 0F, Val Saint-Côme will get 300 meters high like they say..... and la Réserve could top the 305 meters at -40 lol !

Alright Frank! I got the first snowfall at my house (1400' elev.) yesterday, too. Only a trace, but it's always a day to mark on the calendar.

Wow, you're lucky to live at this elevation.

I live at about 150' above the sea level..., so still no snow here, but it should come soon ! (last year = october 20)

The top of La Réserve is at 2400' and Val Saint-Côme tops at 2000' so they surely got some good snowfalls on october 3, with the latitude + correct elevation.

I live in Ohio and we had some snowflakes I think around 9/26. So there- of course we have no skiing (even in the winter).

Wow, late september is really early for the snowflakes !! you're lucky on this point, but I admit that you're a bit less lucky for the terrain !

At least, Ohio is better than Nebraska or Kansas, etc !!
