I was going there for a hike w/ my girlfriend... the thing was planned for 2 weeks. I tought there'd be snow... An inch or two... I wasn't checking the weather maps...
We got to the base at 11AM. Solid snow on the ground... 4in. As we climbed on the long trail, things got more and more interesting. When we reached the summit, there was 10-12in of snow. Lots of wind, so the snow was packed... which made it perfect for not bottoming out every turn.
I was kicking myself in the butt for not taking a board along!

Tomorrow i'm off to Jay or Sutton... I'll see how i feel in the morning... October snow is always sweet... Better get a taste of it while it lasts!
