Nice colors today, I think it's the best weekend here to see the folliage !

I went to few mountains in the day :

Shefford : I was sad to see that they didn't work on the snowmaking system since last time I went. I begin to seriously doubt that they will push some snow next season, even though the reservoir is built.

I was extremely excited when I thought I found a glade that was on the map, in the past. It was looking very great on the beginning, but finally, it joined the bowl with a lot of branches that I used to ski last season At least, some recent works looked to have been done, because this place would do an incredible glade... probably a little bit in the kind of "l'Écureuil" of Orford, but less long of course.

Finally, the mountain has slightly over 800' high... which is quite different of the 1067 they claim to have ! lol (it was obvious that it was less high than Mt Glen and Bromont).

After that, I went to Mt Glen... but once on the site, an employee blocked me the way, asking 5$ to enter on the site. I was the only person in the mountain, except him. After have said to him my way of thinking (@£¢¬@¢¤¤±£@¢¤) I decided to go to Montjoye, instead, which cost me more than 5$ of gaz, but it's for the principle that I won't pay for nothing, even 5$.

Montjoye : short, but steep. Looks to be a nice little mountain, but nothing very interesting for us (15 minutes from Sherbrooke, though, with full night skiing, so it's a good place for them)

After that : Orford !

The new lift is not finished yet. In fact, they still have 2 towers to put, before to put the cable. I was once again in @£¢¤¢£¤¦ when I saw that they did a kind of road, traversing the very very top of Contour to reach the top of Super (to bring the tower between the two summit pitches) I hope they will take a bulldozer to arrange the terrain before next season !!

The works from the base

The top of "Super" has not been devastated with the new lift. I think it won't be really different, next year, although there will be a third cement block in line (there was another old double chair, back in the 70s)

The view was really incredible out there :

And the classic pic, although with my "new" cam, I can't take the pic correctly without taking the big rock (natural jump in winter)

They cut the grass in all the glades on the main side (at least), but weirdly, they still didn't cut the grass in the trails like Trois-Ruisseaux and Maxi. The Contour hasn't been cut yet neither, but it will surely be done in the next weeks. So I hiked the Passe de l'Ours and hiked down the Écureuil and both should be without grass, for the next edition of the Swampfest !!

So that's it for now. Can't wait to see those places completely white !!!
