OK. This season will never end! We hiked out from the auto road at 6000ft. All my phjotos are in Pipeline, although we did get some nice runs in Airplane Gully too. Two perfect days! Not a cloud and just enough wind to keep us cool.
Here's a view Pipeline from the road at 6000ft. It's about 1000 vertical feet. (Straight shot on the left)

You can see the break in the line and Lftgly stepping over it below:

lftgly going up:

and up:

SkiRat coming down (always in shorts)

Don the man hiking up from the bottom:

It just doesn't get any better than this! If I get a weekend in June, I'll have 9 consecutive months of skiing in NH!!!

Correction: It's about 500 vertical feet that's skiable. The ice flow has opened up and you can't ski to the bottom.

ishhhhh, ouch...
I didn't think it was so steeeep (the pic with Lftgly going up at something like 70 degrees)

this is the kind of places where it's fun to ski, but to hike, it's surely another thing ! ... especially as it's often easier to hike on rocks than on snow (less often with ski boots, I admit)

I hope the gullies will survive another week ! even just for 500'... it remains better than my ±200 or simply grass !

My gut feeling is that Pipeline's under 55 degrees. It's steep, but not more than some of the steepest parts in Tucks, like the top of the Chute. Yeah, it looks like 70 in that pic, but I think way2ski maybe didn't have that camera quite level!
Wish I'd taken off the brain bucket for the photo, but you won't catch me skiing without it (let alone in shorts, like Charlie!). For that matter, I feel better climbing with it on, when it's this steep & rocky!

I took my son and a friend up Sunday, and watched you guys skiing in the Great Gulf from the Gulfside Trail, after taking a couple runs on the East Snowfields.

From the Gulfside Trail, we saw one bad fall in Airplane. The guy slid about 200 vertical feet before stopping! There but for the grace of God go I....
