We were a bunch of friends at MSS yesterday, including Patrick, Max, Eric312 and me, to enjoy some great spring skiing in still 2 trails T2B well covered in snow, without any breaks, with the Nordic triple chairlift still running.

The West 70 still has a lot of snow, while the Nordique is less sure for next week. In fact the best thing for them would be to sacrify the Nordique to get more snow in the middle part of the West 70 and on the top of West 70, which are the parts of the trail where less snow remains.

Unfortunately, they didn't let some moguls in the lower part of West 70, everything was groomed, but just to ski in these conditions on may 7 was making us forget this little detail !

Here is a few pics taken yesterday !

I hadn't plan a day at MSS, the initlal plan involved hiking a few hours and skiing a few steep runs, but Mother Nature's Sun didn't smile on the Whites or the Greens.

The Weather forecast was definately much sunny and warmer North of the Border. The Day started out driving over 110 miles from Ottawa to reach the lower Laurentians.

I didn't care if it's was groomed, I love carving (more in the morning) turns while skiing in a t-shirt. Definately sunscreen weather. 8)

It wasn't a plan day to ski with people from skiing forums, but when it's the only skiing in Quebec on a 600' vertical with two runs you are bound to run into someone you know. The only I recognized was Frank, he was already teamed up with Max. The group started growing bigger and bigger (but it's seems everyone in the skiforum world know Frank and vice-versa), Eric showed up after lunch.

Yep, a really nice day !!!
It's a bit boring that they groomed the lower 70W but there were a few jumps on the side of the trail. There's still a good coverage in the 70 !

The bad point, I got a big sunburn on the neck
