Was today my last lift-serviced ski day ? I went to MSS, to ski Nordique and West 70 for 3-4 hours. There is still many features for the good skiers & boarders and the snow cover is still enough amazing. Up to May 18... hmm, tough to know actually, but there was really less snow last year at the same date and they finally closed on may 5. There is still a little bit of natural snow in the woods and there is 2 trails remaining. Last year there was just West 70 and it had really less snow than this year.

The bottom of both trails (west 70 on left and Nordique on right)

The upper part of West 70 with always a huge amount of snow.

If they don't sacrifice Nordique during this week, the chances to reach may 18 won't be really good. If they do, Yes, it will probably be possible. The problem is that la Nordique is actually 2 times more popular than West 70, as it's steeper, more challenging and the little snowpark is there. It could remain open until next week, if it's not too warm (or with destroying the 2 big air) so they will probably let it for the skiers another week.

Lower Nordique with still impressive walls of snow on the chairlift side.

It was also still possible to ski the Silver Park, to do some more little jumps, but it was extremely thin to enter and coming back on West 70. The Pipe was also still accessible, with walking few feet on grass, but it wasn't at his best anyway

The Big Air on Nordique was still looking good (but my pics of it are not). This one wasn't so bad, but the sun orientation wasn't good to take photos. I took the jump few times, but the line up to jump it discouraged me to take it more often... especially as jumps are about my priority #5-6 in ski.

So, finally, winter is really not finished in the St-Sauveur valley, but attain may 18 will be tough, if they keep la Nordique open next weekend.
