I took a friend up to Ho Jo's this morning for a SwissBob run.For those of you unfamiliar with a Swissbob,it's a small hard platic sled about the size and shape of a shovel blade. It has vertical groves in the bottom for tracking it straight and handles on its side. With a little practice this sled can be steered around corners and hit straight away speed limited only to the size of the sledders ballz. It only wieghs a couple pounds and fits on the back of your pack!Hike up;1hour,15min. Ride down from HLS;8minutes,nonstop!Faceshots all the way too!
Anyway, trail conditions were frozen granular/hardpack.There were lots of waterbars that have yet to fill in and some very deep and nasty runnels.Good conditions for sledding but not too great for skiing.Tonights dump will be very helpful.
I'm considering calling in tomorrow and hitting Cannon or the 'Cat.Darn it all,my kids school is going to be closed! ;~)
((*
*))NHPH
