I didn't take many pictures here but overall I liked the resort. I drove to Kelowna from the Portland, OR area and picked up my friend Darren from the airport and then from there we drove up to our Airbnb adjacent to the Attridge chair at Silver Star. The resort had received a few inches of snow in the days before we arrived but like all of Western North America this has been a sluggish year for snowfall with above average temperatures. A few inches of snow fell throughout the days we were skiing as well which made for some nice fun snow on the groomed trails. We found the best skiing to be on the backside of the resort on the Putnam Express chair. The terrain here looked really fun when there is fresh snowfall but we mostly stuck to the groomers because it was fairly firm and thin off piste. This was a warmup for cat skiing at Keefer Lake Lodge. We drove to Keefer after skiing the second day (about a 2 hour drive).
Leaving the Airbnb before the first day of skiing.
Near the top of the Putnam Express chair.
Returning home at the end of day 1.
The top of the Christmas Bowl trail near the end of the second day. Okanagan Lake is visible in the background.
The accommodations here were quite reasonable and there were lots of ski in/ski out options. Overall a very nice place, especially for families. I think the biggest downside was that there were not too many dining options.
