Another crazy power day at la Réserve yesterday ! <BR> <BR>We missed the announced powder that never came, but as my good friend Wake66 came to the mountain in the afternoon, we still skied in 12+ inches of powder in the very very very far lands of the mountain. The conditions in these secret trails were of course amazing. <BR> <BR>I skied all the lower part of the Cloutier trail. If it was tracked, it would be skiable without problem. The problem is that I was the first one to ski there this year and the lower part is a runout going down very very slightly. <BR> <BR>As my friend was with another friend, we passed our tour for the Backside of the mountain, but next time, we're going to do it ! <BR> <BR>We also skied enough in the official trails, which were quite nice, with a surface enough soft. The extreme trails still have some waterfalls, but they're quite nice to ski as we jump over those waterfalls. <BR> <BR>The average level of skiing yesterday was "extreme". Me and my friend were in the average, but not in the most crazy ones... while we can't be beaten in any other ski areas of the region LOL. "> <BR> <BR>Yeah, the Cloutier (or Escapade) have been a trail very shortly in the late 80s. I think only something like 5 years before the mountain closed. It wasn't on the trail map with the master plan of development, in 1985 so you can imagine... <BR> <BR>Unfortunately, the Cloutier family are very present on their land and it would be tough to cut those growing trees, but we should try to put some pressure on the 2 parts (La Réserve and the Cloutier family) to arrive to an agreement, cause it's a huge part of the skiable terrain that is lost cause of this war. There could be a lot of trails and glades between the Cloutier and the Luge and there could be a lot of other trails farther than the Cloutier.
