way too cold for any pictures today sorry !!! and the skiing was way to good to stop .... again dealing with the same issues as yesterday at alta with slow snow from to much cold . but i must say that the basin is skiing very nicely for the base they have . definetly i would have been very cautious before the 28" dump the place just received , even still after this last dump knowing the place as well as one can i was still some what cautious decending mt. ogden canyon , theres some huuuge boulders in there not buried . today was my first day there this season and i was basically on full recon for the first half of the day . headed up needles gondola first thing out to strawberry gondola for a lap out there . well upon arrival patrol opened the demoisey bowl gate from the summit . headed out across the west face of demoisey peak around to the north side for the ridge line to demoisey bowl , ,virgin conditions waist deeeep and bottom less only a pre show for whats to come in the afternoon . patrol was out blasting the no name area most of the morning . snowbasin opened the no name peak area for the first time this season this afternoon . 2,500 vertical feet of virgin ,bottomless waist deep powder to the base . could go into alot more detail about out there but not to many people would know of where i was speaking , so lets just say that the QUALITY was of helicopter quality in perfection, and zero competetion for the acreage .
