Just looked at snowbirds website and mineral basin is closed, that is because of lack of people not because of snow right, just curious
 
Yes, that's why. This is the same gradual shutdown ritual they go through every year.
 
Yes, and technically anything in Peruvian Gulch is now back country skiing, accessed by a BC gate at the Chips/Regulator intersection. The only officially open terrain is the Regulator side off the tram and that serviced by the Little Cloud and Gadzoom lifts. All other lifts are closed for the season. After this weekend, Snowbird ends daily operations and goes to weekends only for the remainder of the month, 8a - 2:30p, with just the tram (on a 15 minute schedule) and the Little Cloud lift.
