We just got a nice squall here that dumped an inch in less than an hour. <BR> <BR>Fire up the snowmobile! <BR> <BR>This is the forecast for east of Lake Ontario: <BR> <BR>This afternoon. Occasional snow showers and lake effect snow squalls. Accumulation 4 to 9 inches. Mainly across southern jefferson and lewis counties. Temperatures holding steady around 20. Becoming windy with west winds increasing to 20 to 30 mph. <BR> <BR>Tonight. Occasional snow showers and squalls. Accumulation 8 to 14 inches. Lows zero to 10 above. West winds around 20 mph. Chance of snow 80 percent. <BR> <BR>Wednesday. Occasional snow showers and lake snows. Accumulation 5 to 10 inches. Bringing total accumulations in the heaviest snows to two to three feet. Cold. Highs in the mid teens. West winds 15 to 25 mph. Chance of snow 80 percent. <BR> <BR>Too bad no real mountains in that area except for Snow Ridge (maybe 300-400' vert). Nice rolling hills for xc skiing. <BR> <BR>I'm off to Greek Peak for night skiing tonite! <BR> <BR>Every flake counts!
