Stowe Dec 4 Powder Day Pics

My buddy, Tyson, and I ripped through glades all day long...there was a lot
of snow...choking at times in the Bypass Chutes. We broke trail out to the
chutes and then proceeded to nab first tracks on chute 1 and Stephanie's.
This was by far the best, and probably deepest, December powder I've ever
skied. It was like a foot of good, but dense powder followed by another
foot+ of feathers. This on top of a 20" crust protected base.

Tyson drops into Steph's. The two feet on top of the crust basically just
went "poof," cracked, and formed quite a serious slough which was impressive.

More Stephanie's action by some skiers we met up with.

First tracks in the good places.

Really look at this one. Several times during the day I watched Tyson
disappear and reappear as he snorkeled down the steep and deep. Here I
caught him right before he disappeared. The depth in here was 24-36 and a
lot of it was pure fluff.

Today was good. Real good. Almost too good.

Go ski now.

It was snowing up there again today off and on (Thursday)...a couple fresh inches up high to make things smooth again. These really are the best trail conditions I can remember this early in the season. Plus, most are velvet, skier packed powder-iffic runs without any true snowmaking or grooming yet. Nosedive was the best I've skied it in the past four years as it has perfect coverage without the ice under-foot that comes with extensive grooming.

The upper woods were sick again today.

WOW! WOW! WOW!
hit stowe again today and what a day it was. amazing to ski untacked t to b runs and never having to hit the woods, ok maybe a couple. first tracks on nose dive at 8:07 am and hit it again. hit the bruce trail at 10 am with zero tracks in front of me, a foot on average of perfect pow and never hit a thing nor did i ever hear my skis scrape on any hard snow, best i've ever skied it and it's dec 6th! nice folks at touring center drove me back to mansfield cuz shuttles aren't running yet which may explain why the bruce is seeing limited traffic. upper liftline to goat was skiing rediculously amazing, middle goat was a surf sensation of ultimate smooveness. runs on skiers left of gondalier were epic fresh blown in run after run-thanx chin clip and bench for drawing the masses your way. puked in the afternoon, more snow by morning.
probably hit burke next week one day and maybe stowe again.
there's no place like stowe.
there's no place like stowe.

Thanks Scott.

It's really appreciated. Much easier to see here than lost in all the noise which could have been too easy to miss.
