Stowe off-piste/treesking advice?

So I've only been to Stowe once, and that was before I really knew how to ski like I know how to ski now. I'm going to go again on thursday, taking advantage of their $25 lift ticket deal.

My wife and I like to ski woods and off-trail, but obviously don't really know Stowe at all. Was wondering if any folks here have any suggestions about areas there -- obviously I'm not expecting anyone to discuss locations of well-hidden tree lines, but more looking for advice of the type "the woods in this area, between trail X and trail Y, are worth exploring" or whatever. Also I know a lot of folks hike up to the top of mansfield and ski from there -- is there anything we should be aware of before looking around there?

Any advice or suggestions would be fantastic. (And turnabout is fair play -- if any of you stowe regulars are heading to MRG and want similar suggestions, PM me).

Yeah ... If you are planning on heading up mansfield to the hourglass / hellbrook etc make sure you know your ability and be prepared to spend the night out there .... just in case. for that trip I would really recomend going with someone who has been up there before. There is some really scary stuff in there ie. mandatory air.
Somthing tyou could explore with less consequences and easir access would be to skiers left of chin clip. Tres amigos glades and nosedive glades are fun too and on the map. Hope this helps a little

Thanks for the advice. Have been doing some research and will probably stay off the chin unless I can find out more but might ski the Bruce trail in the afternoon...we'll see, definitely will bring a pack and be prepared.
