(Note from the Administrator: This report was originally posted on 1/26/00. Due to our move to new servers, the date and time attributed to this post is incorrect.)

PHAT day. Caught the second chair at 7:30. Cows in the pen were mooing
and frothing at the mouth. Opened the gates and the stampede began.
Nosedive, rounded the corner in my own private set of tracks and
......WHAT? Snow guns?!?!?! Are you kidding me? Heaviest snow of the
season and they were blasting guns on Nose dive. huh..... nice too that
they buffed out the center 3/4 of the trail. Stayed to the left and
ducked into and out of the woods where the goods were to be found. Fairly
deep, very velvety.....you know, the kind that sort of purrrs as it
deflects off your knees.
Second run was off National and again into the woods......more
fluffy velvety. Not bottomless, but definitely deep and pure.
Moved on to the Gondi and a few runs in the stream bed and other
secret stashes where plenty of goods were for the taking. By 9:30 I
figured I should get back to Burlington and take my two hour ethics test
that started at 9:00am. Sat down in the classroom at 10:32 and handed
in the test at 11:00.
Stowe was getting skiied off quickly!!! All the hounds were out.
Winds were under control but the lifts were running slowly. Looks like
stowe may not have recieved as much as other regions. I'd say 8-9inches.

I'm curious to hear
about Jay. I'm heading there thursday AM if the reports confirm > or =
16-18 inches. Someone please answer my prayers!. Cheers to those of you
who made it out today.....my apologies to those of you who didn't.
