Sugarbush 1/7

Was at Sugarbush on Saturday 1/7 for the first time this season. The parking lot at South isn't improved by the enormous construction project on my usual parking spot. Saturday was sunny, cool with a crisp wind, but there was new snow. The snow guns were blazing on Rip Cord and Stein's, but many trails were open on natural snow.

Conditions were awesome! There weren't many closed trails and Castle Rock was open. The light and fluffy natural snow was over a firm base. The fake snow sifting down on Rip Cord, Cliffs and Exterminator was the stuff dreams are made from. Unfortunately I ran out of time before all the open terrain could be skied.

I love Sugarbush!
