first time skiing tenney; dad and I hit them up for two-fer friday. two for $29! can't beat that with a stick or else wise.

not much variety in trails at tenney, although you have a lot of options to get down the mountain. most trails were very well groomed. i was impressed considering last weekend's rain. you'd never know it rained recently by the looks of the groomed trails.

off the groomers, whew! a work out to say the least. tenney had two bump trails... one of skier's far right and the lift line. both bump runs had awesome lines and really nicely formed small to moderate sized bumps. snow conditions were still recovering from the ice as snow chunks and ice fragments ruled. turns were still sweet and my two lift line runs elicited unabashed uncouragement and praise from above. good pitch on those bump runs! they really got my blood going.

couple really sparse and thin glades up top were in a similar condition as the bumps. i normally don't ski glades, but these suckers were wide open with small bumps. sweet. icy chunks and spray did not diminish my smile.

i could count the number of people skiing the bumps and trees using the fingers on my two hands. at this rate, it's probably gonna be a while before the snow gets properly broken up. unless it gets really warm or it snows big.

overall, a fun day but not much variety. but for 2-fer-$29, the two bump runs alone earned the lift ticket. everything else was just bonus.
