Jonny, the fact for Killington is that ASC is dying actually. As long as K will be managed by ASC, they won't be able to offer the long season skiing like we used to see in the last decades.

Killington should be beaten easily for the longest season in the east, by the big ski areas in New England and by most of the ski areas in Quebec (except the townships). Just put a snowmaking system at the Valinouet and you have ski from september to july. They actually close in may with 0% snowmaking... imagine. St-Sauveur, La Réserve and the top north side of Tremblant could beat Killington (La Réserve was skied or skiable from october 17 to june 10, last season, with a very poor snowmaking investment.) In New England, as soon as Sunday River won't be in ASC, this one will possibly beat Killington, depending of who buy the mountain. If it's Intrawest or Booth Creek, don't even think about it, but if it's a rich maniac skier that buy it... ohhh.... oct-june.

Tenney could beat Killington too, this year, with a decent terrain and this is exactly what I expect of them.

(Hey, I'm sorry, I feel like it's the 20th time I say the same thing since last may, but we always come back on this subject !!)

I agree with you, NHPH, for the Marketing of the resorts like that and I'm proud to be the very very only person in the world to have skied, for the first time, the Chevreuil, of Mont Orford, on april 2, 1997, in the afternoon, with a friend called Sidney that I met in high-school at College Laval !! Yes, believe me, I'm the very only one in the world to have done that !!!! (This is an exageration, but it's just like their marketing... very easy to be "unique", with all that !) (I remember the date cause this run is officially my very best ever)

Let's pray for early snowfalls !!!!!!
