The end of 2005-06 in the east...

Killington is closing in a few hours... with the Cascade having more snow than Superstar

St-Sauveur closed sunday with a ton of snow... to install fastly some new attractions in the waterpark just between West 70 and Nordique (the 2 survivor trails)

Ste-Anne closed sunday with the glades open on the north side and no bare spots in the trails

They still rent ski-doo at the Valinouet, as there is 2-3 feet of natural snow at the bottom of the mountain, but the mountain is closed for 2 weeks for skiing...

What a weird end of season... but in 3 hours, the last lift will shut down and the lifted skiing in the east will end, with the earlieast closing for decades...

Congrats Marc to have moved out west ! too much weird here...

Unless something really weird happened since lunch, Killington closed yesterday May 1st AND BRETTON WOODS is still open today and for the next few days. So it's not over until the fat lady sings.

2005-2006 season: started in New Hampshire and ending in New Hampshire. I might actually do the same thing for MY 2005-06 ski season. :-k

October 28th - Wildcat, NH to ??? - NH

holy cow, I think I should go back to sleep, me...

Somebody told me that it was tuesday for K... and today on their website, it was written "today is the last day...."... but it was ending with (to purchase your pass...) and I missed this part reading too fast...

Whoops, I missed something... really didn't think BW was still open... thanks for the info.

WHAT??? You haven't been reading the other thread???

Killington closed yesterday, Bretton Woods is closing on May 7th.

Intesting fact...if it wasn't for the freak 2 days in October, Bretton Woods's season would be ALMOST TWO WEEKS longer than Kmart.

Killington - Nov 19 to May 1
Bretton Woods - Nov 12 to May 7

Here are some other close ones...

MSS - Nov 18 to Apr 30 (same as K)
Sugarbush (Ellen) - Nov 19 to Apr 30 (one day less)
Ste. Anne - Nov 19 to Apr 30 (one day less)

WOW!!!

Killington is no longer a standout in term to ski seasons, as the dates above indicate. This should become clearer in the next few years unless K wakes up.
