Thunderbolt/Greylock

Has anyone skied the Thunderbolt trail on Greylock in the past year or so? I'm considering it as a training day before my Utah trip, conditions permitting. Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks for the links guys. I like the lost ski area page. I might try a few more local places first to shake down the gear, while waiting for signs that the snow cover on TB will be adequate enough to not have me crying over base gouges on the new Legends.

no, but Greylock is on my To-Do list list year. i want to skin up it on my splitboard, and then do what comes natural on the way down! ;)

Anyone know of a resource* near greylock that would indicate if the snow is deep enough to ski it? *resource being a local shop, a club, a website of some sort, etc. or is it one of those things that really under the radar?

I just did the thunderbolt last winter and it was great. Perfect for skis or snowboard. The hike up is steep and you may need to traverse a bit and do a little bushwacking. The trail head is also not marked well, it's acrost a field at the end of a dead end road. But it is worth the hike.
