Day off, Daughter's school was off so we drove the 2 hours to Tremblant. Arrived around 8:30 and got a nice spot near the Soliel feeder lift.
This shot is from our parking spot in P2.
You take this short lift and a transit run to the main lift areas. Worked out pretty well but the warm weather is making the flatter transit runs dang sticky. The temp. was 5 celcius on arrival and went up to 18. Beautiful day. We shed layers three times.
The first lift area is basic with lift and a small ticket booth/locker room area. We skied down the transit to the main South side base area and emerged to this view. She kind a shook her head and promptly named it Happyville  Just a perfect name. She doesn't think Tremblant has a real mountain feel. So far the nod is to Jay over Tremblant.
HAPPYVILLE!!!!
The great news is there is lots of snow on the runs. The exceptions being some of the double blacks. It was heavy and we were beat by the end of the day, but had fun with it.
Some shots of conditions.
First run of the day.
Typical snow on the groomers.
Les Bouleaux glade pic from the Soliel Express lift.
Same glade and someone going boom.
The terrain park and halfepipe were in very good condition.
Going back to car to dump the jackets had a very flat traverse area. My daughter used some one foot technique here:
As makes sense, the snow on the North slope held up better. But the south areas were pretty good until the very end of the day where there was some slush in spots that on a cold day would have been where ice was coming through. The runs didn't get that way on the North side. The Expo diamond mogul run looked really good all the way through. I talked to a couple of people and like everywhere else the bumps were soft. Sorry, I thought I had a good shot of expo but it didn't come out.
Our favourite run of the day was the Franc Sud/Toboggan blue run. It alternated between regular and bump sections. The bumps were soft enough you could go around or through them.
The crowds were funny. There were a lot of people there, but mostly seemed to be like lemmings staying on a few tracks. Beauvallon haut would be an expressway, but right beside it is the Alpine and we had it to ourselves. Very strange.
I sure don't see any problem with Tremblant staying open through Easter weekend.
The spring skiing is fine but she still likes this better
