Tremblant this weekend

Greetings from Quebec City, where we're celebrating the non-Thanksgiving with my wife's relatives.

We're heading north and west in an attempt to avoid the snain and r*&n forecast to start off tomorrow's storm, and have booked a weekend condo at Tremblant (grumble grumble). If by an off chance any of you are planning to be on the hill this weekend, look for the guy with a fireball-red jacket (all red, literally), black North Face pants, and a black helmet with the No-Bull logo stickered to the back of it.

Ciao for now!

Sad thing, I'm possibly going to MSS this friday, but I don't have some time to go to Tremblant and not sat/sun... just too bad.

I hope that the conditions will be nice. BTW, they claim to have 9 trails, but in fact, it's 4 different runs, and only on the summit.

Good thing for you if it snows at Quebec actually... it's surely some powder that falls at Ste-Anne actually

I look to the city webcam of St-Donat and there is already about 1 inch of snow on the ground, actually... looking good for the opening of Mt Garceau (at St-Donat) this weekend !!

So it's certainly snowing at the top of Tremblant and certainly raining at the bottom actually ;)

St-Donat actually ;)

(same latitude than Tremblant, but eastern and higher elevation)

Most of the snow was gone, especially in the street, just an hour ago, but now...... it's back to snow, so if it continues like that, it looks like you'll have some possible little powder on the mountain, Marc !!

And on the mountain :

Marc,

If the planet are aligned I might make to Tremblant on Sunday.

Planet aligned meaning: weather, snow and my ski stuff dries off. I was at St.Sauveur today.

Marc, I envy you.....

Tremblant this morning :

Actually, that pictures look like Ottawa (hihi). Everything is white. The snow stopped at 2pm. The forecast called for 10cm. Probably close, however it hard to say with the wind and snow drifts.

The odds of me going to Tremblant tomorrow are better and better.

Wow... you're lucky.

Here it's stopped for few hours now, but there is just 1-2cm on the ground. At least it's all white !

Have a great day tomorrow !!

Patrick, if you get this message and you're planning to come up, call me in the a.m. at 819-681-3000 ext 47349 before, say, 8 am. We'll set a meeting time.

Ski report to be filed in a separate message.

Just to finish this storm... look at the red thing on left on the "day pic" of St-Donat (don't know the english word). It had about 5-6" of snow.

Look at it this afternoon :

I remind you that the mountains around got more snow, cause they didn't get caught by the rain.

God..... what am I doing at university ?
