Sunday was a great day to be on the rock pile. I wish I had lftgly's photo skills! I wish I had gone with him, because Left Gully was bumped up like Superstar. I made one run then hiked back up and headed over to Hillman's. It was much sweeter top to bottom, but losing its base faster than normal.

Here's a shot of Hillman's and Dodge's Drop on the left. The caretaker at Hermit Lake said someone launched off the edge of Dodge's with mega air earlier in the day- one of our gun sight buddies maybe??

Sunday view of the Ravine. From the middle to the right was discouraged by the patrol due to massive ice avalanches. Sat two people were injured. One guy slid into a block of ice broke his leg. The Chute and Left Gully were heavy traffic areas with everyone pushed to one side of the ravine.

Here's shot from the top of Left Gully. It really filters people out at the top. It'd got to be steepest pitch in the ravine. (Glad I had crampons- I saw a couple of folks slip - It's a pretty sight)

There's a large crevass on the upper side of the Chute, but left Gully still looks solid. Coming down Hillman's rocks are starting to grow out of the snow. Some caution is advised -

Hope to get up to Airplane next weekend.

Nice to see more picts from last Sunday! Especially your shot looking down the top of Left Gully.

I hope we continue with our streak of beautiful weather this coming weekend - Mom's going to be lonely on Mothers Day if it doesn't rain!
