Finally got up into the ravine...

Mist/fog on the way up at about 8am. Good group of people... all college students, nike walk, seems like tucks trail is the perfect grade.

As we entered the ravine, it all the sudden cleared out and got sunny, huh our luck! The best part about this was it steered away the crowds, we were up there early, and it was as close as empty as you can get on a holiday weekend.

We hiked boot packed up to the right of the lip, and traversed, and skied a variation of the chute our first run, scoping the head wall.

Awesome run, untouched, snow, felt corn like, but prolly a little heavier.

Had some celebratory brews at the lunch rocks, and watched a guy air out, and stick the landing... had to be 20 ft or so, maybe more. Decided to go up for another run, this time we got into the head wall more, making some sweet jump turns, didn't jump off the ice flows, but we certainly had fun.

Socked back in for a little while we were packing up, sleeted, and then cleared again.

Hiked down to hermit lake, and then skied about the top 1/3 of the shurburne.

The best part of the descent was the tucks trail, it was in primo condition for some good old fashioned boot sliding. We friggin flashed the descent!

Some pics to come when I get them downloaded.
