A cloudy, foggy morning turned into a beautiful afternoon. Didn't need the rain gear, didn't have the sun screen. Met one MWVSP with a Mad River sticker on his skis - who could that be?

Anyway, on to the photos, if I can get them to upload:

Right Gully

View from Right Gully

The Lip

View from Left Gully

View of Left Gully

Chute & Center Headwall

Center Headwall & The lIp

Had to walk from the Bowl to The Connection

Little Headwall was still negotiable fairly safely, though some open water, thin snowbridges, etc...

Sherburne open only top third, required a short walk at one corner.

I'd love to hear from anyone who went to Hillman's for the Son of Inferno. I left HoJos at 9:45, before the first racers had arrived.

The day was too cool for words. The sweet photos understate what it was like. It was a World Class Tucks Day. Right Gully and Left Gully were in outstanding conditions all the way down to the Tucks Trail. I stopped for a long while at the bottom and was in awe of the sight - a huge bowl glowing from the sunlight and an electricity and atmosphere that was more like a 1970s UConn/UMass/UNH/UVM Spring Weekend except the most of the people were older but thankfully not more mature. It was an especially great day for an estimated 1500 Rippin' Sisters and Hard Core Brothers to bond and worship at The Eastern Altar of Sacrifice just as they have for 70+ years there. I was pissed that I had to leave, especially since I am sure that the corn will bloom again, tomorrow. The warm Fosters Oil Can went down great in the parking lot.

TUCKS LIVES!!
