Arrived in the bowl around 11 AM, perfect conditions, sunny and warm (hot I'd even say). No jacket necessary. Took two great runs down right gully, pretty decent boot ladder going over there. Didn't see any significant icefall really, but with such warm weather and so much of it still up there I was a bit concerned. A lot of people showed up, the parking lot filled up and a lot of cars were parked alongside route 16. Up in the bowl, people were even skiing the whale's tail on the side of the bowl opposite lunch rocks, which had more than enough snow coverage. The snow pattern is kind of odd, since the wind patterns were abnormal, but right gully really did well, it was kind of bare up top over by left gully and above the chute - and I was able to ski all the way down to the parking lot without hitting a single bare spot (!). I lost my ice axe somewhere along the way, if anyone sees a black alpine axe, grivel mont blanc, white or yellow lettering (I forget which), somewhere along the skiable route from the bowl to the parking lot, please let me know! The snowfields looked pretty decent, although perhaps a bit wind scoured, but a bunch of people were hiking/skinning up. I wish I could get back up there today because the conditions are great....

Thanks for the report, Sven! Check with the AMC front desk at PNVC, maybe someone turned in your axe.

Ok, somewhat dated, but I just got the roll of film back:
