Just trying to find some decent reporting on mountain conditions, other than RiverCoil's, (who is has the best reports I have seen yet). I have been a seasons pass holder at Jay for he past 4 years, ski about 25-35 days per year there. I drive 5 hours every Friday and 5 hours back every Sunday to go up there and ski as well do many others. When I can't get a hold of friends in the area, none of which are even bothering going to the mountain, I would like to rely on the the mountain website and forums. I spend thousands of dollars every year on skiing, that is because I enjoy the sport. Yes, people are down because of the weather, but "proposed" information does not help when you have to travel as far as many do. I am not someone sitting around at work looking to take frustrations out on people in any way. I lived in the area for 5 years and know how the weather is and what conditions should be like. This year you can't just say, at least you are out skiing or lets just drive up and see what it is like this weekend. That is not the case, yes it may be fun, but is it worth the time to be stuck on the trails, crammed with people, half of which should not leave the village chair or the metro chair. I have seen more pile ups of people this year than ever before.
I also work in Sales/marketing. If I was to advise my clients on my website one thing and then retract it, I would be broke. I do understand that the weather is unpredictable, but a little bit more reality is all people want.
That is my 10 cents.

Let's cut Stevie a break. He didn't hurt anybody. And he plays nice.
At least some one is posting again. I think everyone was under the bed until the liquid stopped.
What I want to know is - who is this guy "Herb - the skiing weatheman?" He's got a pretty positive outlook. I think Scott is a little more cautious about pullin our chains.
