That link should work...if you want to skip the other parc scroll down to the eastern regional section. That covers my basic thoughts through early next week. Not overly optimistic here in the east early next week, either. We'll see. Read it. I enjoy writting those up but also want some people to know they are there and come out weekly.

As long as my son is with UCSD's ski team at Mammoth Christmas week, look out for snow. In each of the past 2 seasons there was 7 feet of new snow while he was there. Yesterday was his first day with the team this season. Scott's prediction indicates this track record may continue.

Don't be jealous. Mammoth is really not a great place to be in weather like that, as maybe 1/3 of the mountain is open so the rest can have big lift lines during Christmas week. Adam only skied about half of the days during those storms.

The lack of cold air is really wasting some really good opportunities as low pressure tracks that are usually favorable for heavy snow are bringing rain and mixed precipitation due to mild maritime air covering most of North America.

I think we all need to put our air conditioners in our windows backward and see if we can reverse this trend! :)
