I waited a few minutes for Nelway border crossing to open at 8 AM, quickly entered Canada, drove through Salmo and past Ymir to Whitewater. I could have gone to Red Mountain for free but instead paid over $100 (Senior not 2-day in advance rate plus $5 for pass card that hope to use again someday) and it was well worth it. I heard it was very busy on Monday with 17 cm new. There was still a lot of places to make some tracks.

I parked at Glory and it looked about like this when I got there not much after 9 and again when I left >3.

Going up Glory at 10.

I had cell service for a couple minutes approaching top of 2K+ vertical Glory the first time up, but nothing on 2nd time. I moved to Silver King, a center pole Riblet that has been retrofitted with foldout bars. I did not ride it my only previous time at WW three years as it closed in PM due to wind. WW has added Raven, a high-speed quad that goes much higher that I rode three time, first skiing Tramline, then twice skiing Upper and Lower Huckleberry on alternate sides. All were good, even though S-facing. There were some thins areas near top and below steeps drops and a lot of chopped-up and packed powder up high and smooth groom where it turned intermediate.

I went in for lunch a little before noon, avoiding big line that formed. Great menu especially when you take off 35%.

I had the Thai which needed more spicy sauce. Cafe only had spicy mayo so I went into bar and got some Tabasco (should have gotten Siracha wich they also had) and added some peanuts from bag I had.

After break I skied Summit lift many times. I started with a groomer or two before taking traverse before avalanche zone where I stopped to take photos of boarder.

Then I saw a guy on traverse talking to skier up above who was getting ready to jump. He threw and perfectly landed a heli with a ~50' drop.

Third photo (above) looks like he's standing still. Fourth photo (below) shows he was not. My phone has no zoom and I did not brighten photos.

I went out traverse and skied Enchanted Forest twice. These two are looking down and up where I skied the first time. The second time I entered over some big pillows and found some deep lightly tracked.

Enchanted Forest from chair and Snow Heart that I also saw from chair and went to see if it was better closer. I've texted it to my wife twice already.

I moved to Glory for 4 laps. I could have ridden again as it doesn't stop loading at 3 but they don't want you going down it after 245 so I did not push it. I took one lap into Backside Bowl and then pushed my luck going into Knee Deep Glades.

They were not even boot-top deep and required navigating around many obstacles before rejoining groomer. My last time down was Single Malt that I had to celebrate at end of day. The mini-bottle really had been re-filled with Chivas and I only drank half of it with the CA beer.

I made it to Halcyon Hot Spring for a soak along the Columbia River as it was getting dark then caught 730 PM ferry towards Revelstoke.
