Frank, you may be a bit premature. Yeah, Rod made snow, but:
1. The website makes no mention of opening. In the past, it was broadcast all over their site.
2. Their conditions page on the website shows all terrain closed.
3. Look at the larger (75%) webcam pic I've attached -- that layer of snow is so thin you can see the grass texture in it. That's barely more than a coating that they managed to get partway up the hill (not that that last part matters, for there's a surface lift there IIRC).
4. Probably due to #3, there's no effort underway to groom that out or spread out the pile at the top of the snowmaking area. In fact, there's no activity whatsoever and it's 9 am local time in the photo below.
Made snow? Yeah, lots of eastern ski areas have so far. Open? I doubt it. About the only thing we know for sure is that Rod is pretty much the only owner who would "open" on that patch of ice cubes.
