World snowbording Guide: valid info?

After reading a lot of the resort reviews for CO on this site, which seemed pretty suspect, I came across this description of berthoud pass:

Berthoud Pass is one of Colorado?s best kept secrets - anyone taking a holiday to nearby Winter Park will drive straight through it. Most people don?t realise just what they're missing here, with exciting, varied terrain and an average snowfall of 1,270 centimetres on offer. Berthoud Pass has long been a favourite of locals seeking good backcountry powder. Berthoud Pass has around 2,000 acres of terrain, served by two chair lifts and a fleet of shuttle buses running from two pick-up stops on either side of the Pass. The two mountain peaks, Russell and Colorado, are split into five areas providing a riding experience to suit good/expert and intermediate riders.

Is this info correct? I thought Berthoud Pass was only a BC area.

It was lift-served until 2001. Owners cited the low-price season pass wars for its demise. Matt Duffy visited for us shortly before it closed:

That link contains a trail map, too.

They then took a stab at running it as a cat skiing operation, but gave up on that as well.

Wow, sounds like they lost a real gem. I am definitly going to head back there for some BC this winter. Thanks for the link.
