BTW, has anyone gotten a "This page isn't working Chrome detected unusual code on this page and blocked it to protect your personal information (for example, passwords, phone numbers, and credit cards). Try visiting the site's homepage. ERR_BLOCKED_BY_XSS_AUDITOR"
I've gotten it randomly on 2 different computers while using Chrome to try to preview a reply on FTO. The bummer is that there is no recovery; the post is lost and using the browser's back arrow doesn't get you back to it.

Do not make lengthy posts, especially with pictures, directly to FTO. Write TR's offline, then copy/paste/save, then upload pictures. That way you won't lose material and have to start over if there are server problems, or more likely, unreliable WiFi connections when you are traveling.

I'd be hurt or worse if I mentioned those on a public forum!

I figured as much, Marc_C; still couldn't resist needling you on that one.

Thanks, good advice from the master. I always appreciate your reports.

I've even found that FTO crashes if I try to upload more than ~3 pictures at a time for about the last year. (then add 3 more, then 3 more, etc...). The forum software is on it's last legs for sure.

The pictures no longer have an individual limit, but there is probably a MB limit in terms of how much can be uploaded at one time. My pictures are taken at 4000x3000 megapixels. I cut that in half to 2000x1500 and I'm normally able to load 6-7 pictures at a time. On questionable WiFi I'll load maybe 4 pictures at a time.

Picture size has been liberalized on FTO periodically over the years. This is a subject I used to complain about; a decade ago the picture size limits were quite low and if you look at old TR's the pics are often grainy. I have no complaints about the current picture situation. I think on some other forums you still have to load one at a time.
