Sugar Loaf to have a new owner

I hope he can firstly get the place going this winter, secondly make the proper hill improvements regarding snowguns, lifts, grooming, etc. To have one of the largest vertical hills in the mitt in operation again would be incredible. I really don't enjoy crystal mtn that much, homestead i have fun...but the place doesn't have vert. I miss riding out west...but this hill will help my withdrawls.

more than that.... as usual this whole thing is not without it's controversies. Here's a link, lots of stuff on facebook as well, friends of sugar loaf, you can look at liko (potential owner's site) www.likosmith.com, other sites such as www.leelanau.com , http://miskireport.com/blog/entry/liko- ... d-clarity/ the list goes on. There is no gurantee at all this will go through, I personally think it will....however i'm not taking any bets. There has been a lot of talk, lots of planning...but basically everybody up here is we'll believe it when we see it. I hope we do

I was up in TC last week and saw in the paper that this new owner was backing out too. Though, I can't find it online now. It's unfortunate, I wish someone could make it work.

Funny looking at old posts, I thought the Loaf was going to be purchased....about as wrong as I could be. If anybody is interested in the Loaf still, you can check into leelanau.com click the sugar loaf on the front page. Beware that it's not exactly a friendly forum. Pretty easy to see, pretty funny to read as well. Also there is Friends of Sugar Loaf on facebook.

interesting read on the latest that's apparently also not happening
