Las Lenas 2014

Valle Nevado/La Parva/El Colorado are the only areas that might get a lot of daytrip/weekend business, so maybe those places take more of a hit in a year like this. There's a local Chilean posting on Epic who is discouraged by the run of low seasons around Santiago and thus took his daughter's school holiday week at Corralco. He was pleased and intends to return there.

Treble Cone doesn't look too bad if you like New Zealand spring skiing. They're claiming 100" base depth up on the saddle.

New Zealand's 2014 season was very bad until mid-August or so, but has been good for the past few weeks.

Treble Cone runs maybe a week into October as there's not much local population base in that area. Turoa on North Island has the latest lift-served Southern Hemisphere season (early November) most years.

Portillo season-to-date is now 190 inches. That's 14 inches in the past 2 weeks. Base depths have declined to a sketchy 7-23 inches and the slingshot pomas serving the best terrain are now closed.

Anecdotal posts indicate a fairly snowy September farther south. Corralco and Chillan may have had close to 400 inches this season, with base depths up to 3 meters by now.
