They have finally begun finishing the base area construction this past month, and are putting in a HSQ this fall.

I got to ride this Tamarack (and Brundage) this past January, and really enjoyed it - even though it was still a little rough around the edges. Lots of potential for the terrain, even though the snow is a little lower quality and quantity than its neighbor, Brundage.

We bought a house up there, and are moving to the area this summer. (in New Meadows, just west of McCall and 10 miles from Brundage). It will be really sweet to be able to get a midweek pass to Brundage AND Tamarack for about the same price of a midweek pass to Wolf Creek!

Admin did an article on the new ownership last fall. https://www.firsttracksonline.com/?s=tamarack" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That area of Idaho is easy to fall in love with the great hunting , fishing , wilderness lifestyle. I enjoyed both hills good snow , moderate terrain , low density . Powder day line ups mostly seniors. Hope you enjoy your new home. I may live in MT but I vacation in ID.

Thanks, really looking forward to it.

I lived in Whitefish for a couple years... enjoyed it and the mountain, but the grey winter muck up that far north was a little too much.
