    Suggestions for staying at Heavenly

Thanks for all the guidance! I reserved a house on Benjamin Dr that's 200' (measured on google maps) from the Boulder lot.

    Suggestions for staying at Heavenly

Yes, I was thinking that staying close would give us an advantage in securing a spot and if nothing else one person could drop the group/gear off and hike back to the lot. I would rate the worst of us as solid intermediate. By not serious, I meant not concerned with racking 30k+ daily vert...

    Suggestions for staying at Heavenly

Would it be a terrible idea to try to stay on the Nevada Side (close to the Stagecoach or Boulder lift) and then either walk or have a quick drive to the parking lot? We could drive to the shops/casinos at night of course.

    Suggestions for staying at Heavenly

Thanks for the guidance. I knew ahead of time that Heavenly is not a perfect resort, but its been an area I've always wanted to visit nonetheless. We will be skiing Sunday through Wednesday which I hope help with the crowds. Several in our group are not serious skiers and are going more for...

    Suggestions for staying at Heavenly

Thanks, we will have several vehicles. I was more concerned about how to get the chairlifts/gondola from our rental property. We have a mixed group of abilities and I'm sure people are going to want to go back and forth to the rental at various times throughout the day. Is there a sizeable...

    Suggestions for staying at Heavenly

We have a group of ten (mostly couples) planning on skiing together at Heavenly the last week of February. I haven't booked lodging yet and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what area (CA or NV side) would be better to stay at and/or how the parking situation is. I see many...

    Revelstoke, BC Jan 11&12, 2023

I think Revelstoke can easily stand by its own, but if you are already planning to visit Revy, a 1 day heli trip is an affordable option that could really make the trip memorable. One of the nicest ski trips of my life was a weeklong trip with 3 days Revy, day heli (selkirk tangiers) and 2 day...

    Schweitzer, ID New Year's Dec 31, 2022 - Jan 2, 2023

Not what I would do either (if it was just myself), but skiing in the lower elevation of Stella kept us completely out of the fog. My wife gets pretty uncomfortable when she can't see 100% so it didn't seem worth it to insist on moving around. The powder was slightly heavier than normal...

    Schweitzer, ID New Year's Dec 31, 2022 - Jan 2, 2023

We knew planning a ski trip during the Christmas/New Year's holiday would be risky, with that in mind, we chose Schweitzer, ID for various reasons: This would be our first time at Schweitzer, Flights, hotels and rental vehicles were more reasonably priced compared to options in CO or UT. The...

Best location for skiing during Christmas break

I reserved a hotel in town. I'm hoping parking at Schweitzer won't be an issue.

Best location for skiing during Christmas break

That's great! We have a little catching up to do. I may push Bachelor out to April.

Best location for skiing during Christmas break

I am leaning towards Schweitzer at this point. The kids love tree skiing the most. Our "big" break is a week mid-March. Is that when you would recommend Bachelor? Do you think there is enough terrain for week? If we didn't end up in Aspen again, I was considering either Mammoth or Utah. I...
