Saturday - all about aspect. North facing had chalky turns. Frankly skied much like Zermatt, that is gripping hardpack most everywhere else 5/10. Sunday - hiked the rarely open Gad 2 baldy bowl gate. Summited red stack then skied “Liam’s”? Couloir back into the bowl and on to little cloud...

Largely agree with this take. I DO subscribe to opensnow... but have a serious love hate relationship with it. It's as much an anxiety provoking (FOMO) dopamine dealer as it is a useful planning tool. I've basically resigned myself to checking local weather stations and sucking up last minute...
