    Need ski binding/boot advice!

stiffer is usually more advanced, however you need to go to a ski shop and GET FITTED. That is the most important thing with boots, more important then model or equipment level.

    Need ski binding/boot advice!

I'd reconsider your budget, maybe 200 for boots, 100 for bindings, however you still wont be able to get the performance you want, and with those prices your looking at last years used intermediates. If you can I'd say atleast 300-400 for the boots (new - still looking at last years models), or...

Mt. Tremblant this weekend Feb. 12 and 13th

I was there 2 weeks ago, and conditions were rather variable. There was mostly a little loose snow on top, or groomed hard pack (still carvable). However certain slopes were ice sheets, or sometimes on a slope where conditions had been good all of the sudden you would hit an ice sheet while...

    Suggestions on intermediate skis

I took the plung to buy equipment this year (I ski about 17 days a year). My ability level at the beggining of the season when I bought my equipment was intermediate - I could do the whole mountaint at places like wintergreen, whitetail, and liberty (crappy mid-atlantic resorts) but wasn't...

    rust

I just noticed the edges on my skis are just barely starting to rust. Other than that the skis show pretty much no wear, a few small scatched in the bases, but nothing that noticably affects performance. Anyways, is this anything to worry about, or is their anything I can do to fix it?

    180 on skis?

thanks for the tips. my first try i leaned a lil to far back on the landing, but as soon as my tips started to burry I fell to the side so my skis wouldn't snap :). I landed it on my second try, now I just gotta up my confidence so I can get it right every time and move on to a 360.

    Whitetail, PA: 1/16/05

Just got back from a day trip to whitetail. The conditions were surprisingly good given they've only had a couple days of snowmaking to start from scratch. All the greens were open (didn't go on any of them), a few blues, and one black. The blues and black were really nice and bumpy by 11ish...

    180 on skis?

In the south east, when nothing difficult is open the terrain park is, and I've learned to really enjoy air :) I was wondering how you would to a 180 off a jump. First, I don't have twin tips, however my skis to have minitips in the back and are fine for skiing backwards, so is this possible...

    staying warm

I'm going skiing in Mt. Tremblant this year at the end of january. The furthest north I've been skiing is in pennsylvania. I hear it can get pretty cold. What do you need to stay warm. I currently have, gore-tex shell, gore-tex pants (lined), gore-tex gloves, long underwear, and a sweatshirt...

good intermmediate all mountains - any suggestions?

I ended up getting the k2 escape 5500 (170mm length), because most of my skiing will be done at wintergreen (a rich freind has a house there and I'll probably go with him most weekends) so that means I won't be seeing much powder or tress and I don't really need the extra thickness. the other...
