exactly tony.. that is exactly right...it's why in the end, stowe is the better hedge if the bottom line is conditions and you are not talking about an isolated indivdual event that you can catch the day it is happening.. obviously then jay is on the same level...otherwise.. no way.. not even...

tuesday was pretty impressive packed powder.. very little hardpacked was found anywhere.. it rained tuesday night and then got cold early in the am....it ruined everything ... wed was corrugated sheet metal all over .. anything that was not groomed was unskiable with a solid 1inch crust.. just...

porter is 100% right stowe is the best hill in new england , hands down.... they have it all snow, terrain, lifts and lift layout...80 is a lot of money... i don'e like paying it, but to get the best, i guess that's what is required

scott if you were out there can you tell me if the web site trail/grooming report is accurate...? specifically is chin clip all open and are there moguls on perry merril? any info would be greatly appreciated .. trying to make a hard decision for tues and wed thanks man

i'll conceed that burke and sb may not be exactly on the same footing...but i don;t the the difference is as significant as you think... i just htink that if someone has a million bucks to spend, and the choice is stowe and it's " expansion " or burke and it's " expansion " i think people are...

i think crocker has it right. i also think that places like saddleback and burke, both super hills with great terrain, are never gonna be as successful as they think they are. they are always gonna teter on the edge of viability in todays ski climate... burke is kidding itself with these grand...

geoff is real active on another board and makes no bones that he has a lot invested in K...I have given up on that place until they prove they are going to run the place for the reasons why i went there in the first place... geoff has property there.. i can understand him giving them more time...

those are some impressive telemark turns....do you have a mogul skiing background??? loking at the way you make turns, i am guessing you do

good report robert.... i can just picture it as i can remember from K a few years ago that the first 2 weeks usually resulted in those little bump runs on the edges becasue of the more often than not warming up during the day....the first 2 weeks always seemed to be tons of fun then it would...

isn't one of the lame excuses these bs artists use when justifying not spinning late that they don't have enough staff or that the staff has all gone home for the season.... :roll: ...so apparently they can spin early with no staff but not late :roll: .. that makes sense :roll: just another...

i'd have to disagree with the negative slant...i'd be stoked to ski it if it was nearby...excellent op to work on technique and turns....great op to introduce small ones to sliding on the snow so you can bring em to the real hill and have em going right away and not have to waste time or money...
