What a great day up at Jay today! It snowed this week and it shows compare to what they had last weekend (euh... yeah... well... there was NOTHING last weekend!). We got up there and decided to use the chairlift in the morning and try what stateside had to offer... Lots of people on the slopes...

Wow! That was great! I can spot good systems but i'm really bad when it comes to reading radars the way you do... Guess i'm use to watching the weather channel!

In typical jay peak fashion. . .

Hi Steve! Just a quick note to tell you that everyone i've talked to doesn't like Jay's new website... I've sent comment to customer service but got no answer... Jay's website is just to corporate. Saint-Sauveur doesn't need to mention and talk about weather... everyone in MTL can tell what's...

    Tremblant, QC - November 26, 2006

I was up in Tremblant today too... But i went mountain biking instead... I hate Tremblant with a passion... Some young jibbers looked at us with our bikes and said with a smile on his face "uh... You guys are going riding?" Well guess what dum-dumb... Trails will be nice then your icy slopes...

    Jay Peak, VT: 11/22/06

Great report! It's too bad their opening... I would have liked another w-e free of crowds! Ah well... Now we need REAL snow in order to access different places that the crowds stay away from... Good job!

Best bet for Thanksgiving in Vt or 'dacks

They need to make a lot of snow to handle a crowd... There was only 1/3 of the hill still white last w-e... Now according to the pic on the website, they should be open on saturday... I hope they won't... I'll hike again to earn my turns as long as there is no decent snow on the ground for me to...

Nov 12th ---> Le Massif, Qc

There's about 10-12in of hard stuff on top of the mountain. Mid-mountain when we stopped there was about 6-8in... my guess is even that the bottom was all green... After all, it's right next to the St-Laurent river! The top still might be white... but not much skiing and riding to be had! At...

Nov 12th ---> Le Massif, Qc

    Jay Peak: 11-05-2006

Like i said, my GPS died... i normally have the exact number... i just remember Jay Peak saying that the Jet was 1600ft vertical... So we did a lot less then... Something more like in 2200-2600ft? Anyways... doesn't matter: Great riding, great snow! All that really matters! @river: check out...

    Jay Peak: 11-05-2006

Well, base area to top of Jet is 1600ft vertical. Then, each "run" is about 2/3 of the climb in terms of vertical feet so 1000 ft/run. We did 3 runs... so 3600ft seemed ok... My GPS died so i had to approximate what we did... Am i totally off?

As seen on their website, they posted 6 pics of the snowguns blowing on the Jet and Haynes. The mountain and surrounding areas look pretty white. I'll be there sunday and will bring back some pictures! http://www.jaypeakresort.com/en/jay_pea ... 2006-11-03

    Jay Peak, VT: 10/29/06

damn! You guys had the guts to face the gusting winds! I was mountaint biking at Bromont sunday and on top, we could barely stand up... and it was blowing snow like crazy. The mountain was covered with an inch or two of snow... The summit of Bromont is not even the base for Jay Peak... Winds...

    Pictures from Stowe, October 27th

Wow! What a report! But now i'm sad and disapointed... Friday i went mountain biking because i thought i'd be able to squeeze some good turns at Jay on Sat. Morning... I woke up in the middle of the night at 3AM and it was raining... No snow at all... so i figured that by sunrise, Jay would...

    Jay, VT - October 25, 2006

Alright! I was aiming at a second day of skiing and Jay is the place to go tomorrow... we might get soaked... but "earning" turns two w-e in a row in October is totally worth it! Look on Jay's website, you'll see skiers down the Jet! Great report!

Oct 22nd: Sutton, QC --> Back on the board!

After a day of hiking in the snow at Mt. Mansfield yesterday (kicking myself for not bringing a board), i had to check out the snow at Sutton. I read report of a solid 8in and up to a foot of snow in some areas. October snow is my favorite snow... so i had to sample that stuff! So after a few...
