    Snowbird’s Ride App

Yesterday Snowbird released their attempt at helping to alleve a problem that’s been growing for years, an app that facilitates and encourages car pooling. It’s a bit clunky at roll out but I really like the idea. Word is they’re going to use it for a bit, work out the bugs, and partner with...

Alta, UT 2/6/19 - Can't get there from here

The BCC didn’t close for avalanche reasons, they were turning people away for parking reasons. I left my house at 7:30 this morning, finally pulled into Brighton at 10:00 as parking was dwindling. Great Western opening after two days was worth it. Those $2375 Deer Valley passes are looking...

(non-skiing) TR: Camping Telluride, Silverton & Mesa Verde

"Really, it's a shame to visit this park and not get tickets for one of the tours; otherwise, you're just looking at any of the numerous Anasazi cliff dwellings from a distance." I'll refrain from saying I told ya so, ;).

I'll keep enjoying it every weekend they remain open. They've had their spring schedule on their site for a few weeks, Peruvian has been listed as closed, to their credit they open it on high volume days. Sunday an accident happened and they couldn't open it for reasons that were apparent...

No, I think you miss the point. It wasn't the end of the world, we had to stand in lift lines. There were no crying sessions, there was no protest, we stood in lines that happen now and then on powder days. 99% of the people I saw on the hill had large smiles on their faces, even while...

BTW, Snowbird has had construction projects going on the last three years and still managed to remain open and work around the projects. :cough, cough: When did Alta close again?

I'm sure they would relish an email from you detailing your thoughts on their maintenance operations. I'm perfectly fine with people voting with their wallets and not frequent Snowbird due to their overwhelmingly anti-customer service postures. I don't like standing in line any more than...

No, it wasn't. I know where you got that estimate as I stood at the pedestrian bridge with Bobby and Amy contemplating the line. It was actually 12:30 and although the line looked long I joined it (in real life, not from my computer) and it wasn't nearly as bad, the line was a single maze...

How was the skiing at Alta yesterday? ;) Quite frankly Admin isn't and wasn't a customer yesterday. He could've bought a pass for $80, they'd advertised it all over. I had an offer in to my son to buy him a pass but he couldn't get out of bed. They've started maintenance on the Zoom lift...

    Alta 4/9/2017

Day 44 I got up early this morning and called Marc Guido and made arrangements to meet him at Collins. He assured me with the lack of crowds I could sleep in a bit and easily score one of the first chairs with him. I slept a bit more and made it to the lot around 9:00, I geared up and joined...

    LCC Report 3/31 - 4/3 on Epic

I suppose you could either, read the Guru's page: http://www.gurudavepowers.com/ Read my weekend/when it snows report: http://forum.pugski.com/threads/snowbird-2015-2016.109/ Or, go there yourself and write about it. Your choice.
